Should I rewind my industrial motor or replace it?

For motors 75 horsepower and above, rewinding is often more cost-effective than replacement. That threshold shifts higher as horsepower climbs. Below 75 HP, replacement usually wins on price and lead time. The exception is specialized motors that are difficult or impossible to source as new units.
